Rafael Fiziev teases new fight news just days after his UFC 313 loss to Justin Gaethje

Despite the loss of Justin Gaethje last Saturday at UFC 313, Rafael Fiziev has not lost much stock.

After a long injury pay after he had torn his ACL against Mateusz Gamrot in September 2023, Rafael FIZEV apparently was difficult to find a return fight.

That was until Justin Gaethje was left without an opponent for his UFC 313 fight after Hooker had withdrawn for a few weeks.

Fortunately for Fiziev, he received the call to rematch Gaethje, whom he labeled as 'a miracle' considering their first meeting in 2023.

Gaethje bounced back from his UFC 300 loss to Max Holloway and took a new decision victory against Fiziev after another three round war.

Rafael Fiziev teases Vechtnieuws only a few days after the loss of UFC 313

Although 'Attaman' will now have a red mark next to his name, he has not lost any stock despite the loss, because he took the fight on extremely late notification.

However, Fiziev did not prevent this from considering a large career step, because the Azerbaijani claimed earlier this week that there is a great possibility that his next fight will take place at featherweight.

Fiziev is generally regarded as a fairly small 155lber and he woke up the day after the official weighting on 161LBS, which is extremely substandard for the division.

And now only a few days away from his loss to Gaethje, the Muay Thai specialist has plagued that news about his next fight may not be too far around the corner.

“Good news that comes soon,” Fiziev posted on his Instagram story while posing for a photo with UFC matchmaker, Hunter Campbell.

The 32-year-old also placed a reaction to his fight and claimed that it was the first time he was 'smiled' in a fight.

“For the first time in my life, I went into battle smiling,” he started his explanation.

Who could fight Rafael Fiziev in his UFC Feather Waarde debut?

Although he had never really been in lightweight title turn, with the recent featherweight title holiday of Ilia Topuria, the 145LB division is open to new contenders.

There are several fights in featherweight that can be logical for Fiziev, one is against Movsar Evloev.

The unbeaten Russian may have hurt himself by missing the vacant featherweight title fight, that will be between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes, and he will probably have to wait a while before he is considered for a shot.

Another fight that can be logical for Fiziev is a collision against Arnold Allen. 'Almighty' all comes from a victory against Giga Chikadze and is still a few wins removed from title conflicts.
