Celtic striker Adam Idah scored an equalizer of the second half to deny Rangers a third consecutive old company Derby Triumph in a 1-1 William Hill Premiership Draw near Ibrox.
Rangers looked well placed to make the three wins in a row on the newly crowned champions of Brendan Rodgers when Cyriel Dessers struck just before the break.
But the Irish striker Idah hit back to grasp part of the loot, to ensure that the Ibrox side has now gone six games in a row without a victory in all competitions.
Rangers have now won only four of their 12 games under Interim -Baas Barry Ferguson and, remarkable, no home since 2 February.
But were there a glimpse of hope among the boys in light blue? And was the gap between the parties in the league table reflected by the performance of the visitors? Here the Calum Crow of Mail Sport assesses the individual performance that can be seen in Glasgow's South Side.
Rangers
Liam Kelly – 6
Distribution was sometimes nervous when his passers put pressure on, but made up for a few good saves.
James Tavernier – 5
Another bad performance of the Rangers captain in an old solid game. Energy was missing and his death was limp.
John Souttar – 6.5
Stuck in the air and treated the most danger. But Idah's shot woke him off and flew into the network in the second half in the net before Celtic Equalizer.
Leon Balogun – 7
Play with a face mask up and cut the top of the beam with a header in the first minute. Brilliant recovery equipment in Forrest.
Jefte – 5
Struggled to tackle the threat wide, because the shape of rangers exposed him and without coverage. Never established in the game.
Nico Raskin – 8
Involved in a few scuffles with McGregor. It seemed that he had led the opening goal, but excluded for offside. A good shift in general.
Connor Barron – 7.5
A bundle of energy in central midfield. Set the tone for Rangers early and broke into a number of good tackles.
Mohamed Diomande – 8
Bossed the midfield together with Raskin. Absolutely a player who is worth building around the following season.
Nedim Bajrami – 5
Given the freedom to roam and play behind the rush, but this was another game that completely passed him. Just not good enough.
Vaclav Cerny – 5
Was guilty of giving the ball away with weak steps too many occasions. Looked furious when he was immersed halfway through the second half.
Cyriel Dessers – 7
Had a quiet game until he appeared just before the break to score the opening goal. Showed good calmness on his left foot.
Replacements: Igamane (Cerny 66), Hagi (Bajrami 66), Rice (Hagi 83), Danilo (Diomande 90). Not used: Butland, Cortes, Kasanwirjo, McCausland, Nsiala.
Booked: rice 88.
Manager: Barry Ferguson – 6.5
Has still not won a match at Ibrox, but one win and one draw of two games against Celtic enables him to leave with his head in the summer.
Celtic
Viljami Sinisalo – 7
First taste of the old company Derby. Tipped over a bent shot from Cerny in the first half. Good storage to refuse Raskin late in the game.
Anthony Ralston – 6.5
Has always made itself available for the ball wide, but never really endangered rangers with his delivery.
Cameron Carter-Vickers-7.5
Bullette a header to the goal in the first half that was tipped by Kelly. Dominant in every 50-50 challenges.
Liam Scales – 6
Couldn't get close to Dessers, because the Rangers striker stopped him to throw away the opening goal. Not his best day in general.
Greg Taylor – 6
Hidden to midfield and tried to create an overload with Maeda against Tavernier. Passing was limp in the second half.
Arne Engels – 6.5
Caused problems in the first half when he drove wide in half space, but faded before he was replaced by Bernardo.
Callum McGregor – 7
Fortunately to escape a booking when he ended up on Raskin. Held things together well enough and also played some decent passes.
Reo Hatate – 7
Played a few sharp steps behind the defense of the Rangers, but for him the finish did not stand for him.
James Forrest – 6.5
The evergreen winger continued his recent starts after Kuhn did not make it. A few clear moments but was replaced by Yang.
Adam Idah – 7
Went through one on one in lock phases of the first half, but Schot was saved by Kelly. Save the ball past Kelly for 1-1.
Daizzen Maeda – 7
Cut behind tavernier and dig himself from the left in the movement that Idah saw firing the equalizer. Big chance at the end, but could not score.
Replacements: Bernardo (English 63), Yang (Forrest 63), Schlupp (Taylor 79), Kenny (Idah 83). Not used: Bain, Mcardle, McCowan, Nawrocki, Trusty.
Booked: Kenny 90.
Manager: Brendan Rodgers – 6.5
Will end the season with just one win in four league matches against Rangers. Team looked bone in attack.
