Marcus Rashford launched a subtle excavation at Manchester United Baas Ruben Amorim after scoring his first goals for Aston Villa.
Rashford left United on loan last month and fell out of grace under Amorim.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a new life in Villa, who have an option to permanently sign him at the end of the season.
Rashford scored a brace, which included a penalty, while Villa defeated Sunday Preston 3-0 to reach the semi-final of the FA Cup.
Rashford has had an impact at club level and has worked his way back to the team of England and was called up by Thomas Tuchel for the recent internationals.
Rashford now seems to play with great confidence away from Old Trafford.
Rashford indicated that he feels fitter since he came to Villa and added that he enjoys his football.
Rashford spoke with BBC Sport: 'It's a great feeling, I have the feeling that I am getting fitter and playing better football since I am here. It is clearly nice for an attacker to get a goal, so hopefully it will continue. '
'I think we just have to take one game at a time and give it 100 percent on the field and see where it brings us. We are a very ambitious team – we want to win and try to get as far as we can in all competitions and we also want to push to get back to the top four. '
'Step by step. I think I can still become fitter. I missed a lot of football before I participate with them. The moment my body feels good, I am injury -free and I enjoy my football, so all good for now. '
According to Micah Richards, Rashford is much more suitable for playing for Villa than for United, where he did not fit in the formation of Amorim.
Amorim had expressed concern about Rashford's dedication in training, but the attacker seems to work well under Emery.
Richards said: 'The difference is that Emery has a structure, he has a plan. Under ten Hag it was difficult and the new Amorim manager found it difficult to place exactly what he wants.
'If you are going to play a different formation, where will he play? Is he going to play in one of the front three positions or perhaps as a wing-back? It doesn't really suit him. '
“He comes to an environment where everyone knows his job and he simply adds his skills and pace and knows how that is for that team.”
Former Villa attacker Dion Dublin was full of praise for Rashford and stated that he is able to start for every team in the world when he is at his best.
Dublin said: 'When Marcus is on it and plays well and you give him what he needs, he can start for every team in world football. He's so good. '
Joe Hart agreed with Richards that Rashford enjoys playing under Emery.
Hart said: 'He came here with people around him who know what they are doing. He does not come here with questions about how he will behave and what he will do and how he will change the team.
“When he was with a man at the end of his career, it was constant” Where is he going to play? How is he going to play? What will the manager do? . ' Nobody asks Unai Emery because he has settled. '
Before he came to Villa Rashford, Rashford had spent his entire career at United, for whom he has made 426 performances and scored 138 goals.
Although his contract in Old Trafford runs until 2028, Rashford could leave permanently this summer.
