Rashford makes feelings clear on next club as he rejects 3 £35m-a-year offers

A return to the England squad is Marcus Rashford's priority as he chooses his next club.

Rashford, 27, made headlines last month when he confirmed he is 'ready' to leave Manchester United. The forward has not played a single minute for United since December 12 and missed the next four games before returning to the matchday squad against Newcastle.

But boss Ruben Amorim opted not to use him as a substitute despite a dismal 2-0 defeat to the Red Devils. Clubs interested in taking advantage of his situation have wasted no time in pursuing Rashford, with three Saudi Arabia teams making offers just two days into the January transfer window.

It is understood Rashford has received three separate offers and had he accepted them he would be earning £675,000 a week. But at 27, Rashford is not yet ready to move to the Saudi Pro League.

Instead, Rashford will only move to a competitive league that will give him a platform to return to the England squad. The United want-away last played for his country in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final against France.

New England manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly a fan of Rashford as he was linked with signing him when the German was in charge of Paris Saint-Germain. Tuchel officially started his role on Thursday but may not get the chance to see Rashford in a United shirt when he leaves this month.

Amorim insists it was always his decision not to play Rashford and when asked why he didn't play him when he lost to Newcastle, said: “I think about the team. You [journalists] think about Marcus a lot. I think about the team. When I'm there, I don't make a big deal. I just want to win the game.

“And you feel that. I'm talking about the idea and the battle for relegation. Do I want to make a point during a match? No, I just want to win the match.”

Amorim has previously suggested it was not Rashford's idea to make his desire to leave his boyhood club public. “Of course it is a difficult situation,” the Red Devils boss told Sky Sports. “But I understand that these types of players have a lot of people around them who make choices that sometimes are not the player's first idea. So I understand, I can separate things. I am always there to help Marcus if another player .” player and they have to do what they have to do.”
