The future of Marcus Rashford remains uncertain, but he is intended to return to Manchester United for the preseason and has his ability to play as a no. 9 to play in the midst of the club to a striker to a striker
Marcus Rashford has admitted that a central striker is “becoming more natural” as his career evolves – where Manchester United is desperately looking for a new no. 9.
The 27-year-old returns to Old Trafford after his loan tint away in Aston Villa. Rashford has endured a difficult time in Manchester and, after he had fallen the pecking order under Ruben Amorim, chose to leave temporarily.
Villa had an option of £ 40 million to permanently sign him, but that is not exercised and Rashford is confronted with an uncertain future. His dream movement to Barcelona is now perhaps from the maps of his thin-horned come-get-me-plea and the attacker seems to sell himself as the central striker that United is looking.
Rashford mainly played broadly during his career from outside, but believes that it is a central option to make his career evolution. Those in Manchester missed Liam Delap, one of their summer goals, while Viktor Gyokeres can prefer other destinations.
It could still leave an opening for Rashford to set up his claim as the man to lead the line of United – something that he believes he is now capable of. He said, “As I get older, the number 9 position becomes more comfortable, more natural.”
In the most productive season of Rashford, he scored 30 times. That was back in 2022/23 under Erik ten Hag. Since then he has not touched those heights, but looked back to his best for periods during his loan period at Villa, where he could loosen Ollie Watkins as a stater.
Amorim will win the most important task for the Academy graduated. The Portuguese coach, who signed Matheus Cunha and now Bryan wants Mbeumo, shun Rashford quickly when he arrived and left him out of numerous squadrons. He later mentioned a disagreement as their most important issue.
He said: “I couldn't show Marcus how to play football and train to train as I see it. Sometimes you have one player who is really good with one coach, and the same player with another coach is different. I wish the best to rashford and on [Villa manager] Unai Emery, and they can connect because he is a very good player. “
Before Rashford had rediscovered his best form in Villa Park under Unai Emery Amorim, he admitted: “Sometimes you have one player who is really good with one coach, and the same player with another coach is different.”
