Marcus Rashford has sent a message of three words of happiness to his teammates from Manchester United prior to the Europa League final.
The United season is based on the final, which will be disputed in Bilbao on Wednesday evening against colleague Premier League side Tottenham.
They are 16th in the Premier League after a gloomy domestic season under Ruben Amorim, but they enjoyed more success on the European stage and were still able to finish it with a trophy within a few hours.
Winning the competition would also give them a place in the Champions League of next season, which means that it is a big night in terms of next year and the current season.
Rashford will not be part of it in the meantime. The attacker of England left the club on loan in January after he had gotten out of favor and had drawn criticism from Amorim, and then temporarily spent the rest of the campaign in Aston Villa.
Rashford, however, has taken the time to wish its permanent side – via a message on social media.
“Good Luck Guys,” Rashford posted on Instagram, accompanied by a star emoji.
Villa drew Rashford on loan for the rest of the season and can make the deal permanent for £ 40 million when it ends at the end of next month. But it is clear that there is nothing to prevent other clubs from buying him for the same price as United and the player agrees with the move.
Rashford will be under contract in Old Trafford until 2028 and plans to be planned at the beginning of July to return to Carrington for training for the season.
However, it seems unlikely that he will play for United again, while Amorim remains as head coach, and a step away from his boy's club would be in the best interest of all parties.
If United does not take back the 27-year-old, they have to find a club that can pay its wages of £ 315,000 a week.
Rashford played his last game on loan at Villa after it was confirmed that the hamstring injury so he missed the last three games, will also keep him from Friday's game against Tottenham. He is not eligible for the last game of the season to United in Old Trafford.
“The talent of Rashford, the talent of Antony, all these players, they have to put that in the team,” Amorim said about the star last month. “So we are really happy, because if you bring a player on loan, it is best for us to perform – and they perform.”
Before his move, however, Amorim doubted publicly in the request of the superstar in the training and he stated that he should drastically change his attitude to be brought back from the cold.
