Rashford’s future in limbo as Amorim REFUSES to say

Ruben Amorim will not offer Marcus Rashford any guarantees about his future until the transfer period is closed.

The 27-year-old striker has not played for United since December 12 and said that he wants a “new challenge”, away from Old Trafford.

Rashford trained on Wednesday at the United-Base in Carrington.

But then the next day he looked from the stands to the 2-1 victory in the Europa League in Rangers.

Rashford placed “Come on the Boys” on Instagram with an emoji with a red circle.

United boss Amorim remains uncertain about the future of Rashford, now that the transfer period expires on 3 February.

Asked about the future of the English attacker, Amorim replied: “I don't know. I really don't know.

“We will see at the end of the window what happened – and then we will talk about it at the moment.”

Rashford had hoped to join Barcelona, but the LaLiga club cannot register new players due to the financial crisis.

The German Borussia Dortmund was interested, but has withdrawn and rejected the requirements of United to pay all wages of Rashford, £ 325,000 a week.

AC Milan has also decided not to rent it.

Amorim refuses to admit his current policy to leave Rashford outside his plans, while the United manager is also waiting to see if Chelsea will make a formal offer for wing player Alejandro Garnacho.

United wants at least £ 60 million for the twenty -year -old, which is open to a switch to Stamford Bridge.

But Amorim hinted that he could get warm again for the young Argentinian after his promising 90 -minute performance in that victory in Rangers.

The Portuguese boss refused to commit himself to the future of Garnacho, especially since United has to raise money to avert the threat from breaking the Premier League profit and sustainability rules.

Selling Garnacho could be registered as a pure profit on the bills of this season and could release enormous purchasing power while Amorim tries to re -shape his system to his system.

Amorim said: 'We don't know what can happen until the window closes. Everything can happen. But he improves in every aspect of the game.

“He was better against Rangers, both inside and outside, where he changed position. He improves the recovery position.

“You can see it until ninety minutes that he is always there to recover and help, sometimes he shows some frustration and that is good, because he wants more.

“He has the potential to be so much better in every situation in the game.

“What I can say is that he understood what I was trying to do, that was very clear.”
