Rasmus Hojlund is apparently en route in Manchester United after the arrivals of three new attackers this summer, and he was omitted outside the team for the defeat against Arsenal
AC Milan has confirmed their interest in Rasmus Hojlund – but there are two major obstacles to overcome. Milan sports director Iggli Tare told Mediaset: “Hojlund is a good option for us. We think of him, but in the transfer market you never know what could happen.”
The Italian giants are also interested in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, but the clubs have reached a stalemate about the reimbursement and his contract. That is the reason behind their interest in Manchester United Hojlund, but Milan is still confronted with a struggle to convince the striker of Denmark to give up Old Trafford.
United boss Ruben Amorim admitted that Hojlund had been omitted for the opener of his club at Arsenal and he must now choose whether he should stay and fight for his place or departure.
United wants to close a deal to balance the books after an edition of £ 200 million on a new forward line of Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
It would mean that a huge hit would be taken on the 22-year-old Hojlund who joins Atalanta for a stunning £ 72 million in August 2023.
Hojlund, however, has struggled poorly in Old Trafford and he is surplus for the requirements, but he can be reluctant to leave with United enthusiastically about a permanent deal – they want closer to £ 35 million – but would also entertain a loan.
Vlahovic has been the NO1 goal of Milan with Juventus who is ready to discharge it, but it remains now that that deal can be ruled.
There is a conviction that Milan could eventually prefer Vlahovic but was frustrated in their attempts – and yet he is still a big option.
That now also applies to Hojlund who did enough in Italy to convince United to sign him and that can help him convince to go back to the Serie A with AC Milan.
In the meantime, Roma threatens to pull the plug from a £ 20 million deal for Jadon Sancho. The Italian giants love the Manchester United Massfit, but are ready to give him an ultimatum after he becomes frustrated by negotiations.
Sancho, 25, is surplus for the requirements at Old Trafford and a £ 20 million deal has been agreed for a loan with an obligation to buy the English international. But the wages of £ 250,000 a week of Sancho have been a big bottleneck, because the winger does not want to take a financial hit.
It would also appear due to the long, drawn negotiations that he has some reservations about relocation to Italy and another loan movement after he was on loan at Chelsea and the former Borussia Dortmund club during his nightmare in United.
