Ratcliffe ‘booed at UEL final screening’ before latest savage job cuts round

Sir Jim Ratcliffe was reportedly booed by the staff of Manchester United during a screening of the Europa League final, while the co-owner pushes ahead with the last round of job loss.

Man United suffered a 1-0 defeat against Tottenham in Bilbao on Wednesday evening and missed the Champions League of the following season.

Ratcliffe was present in Bilbao for the showpiece and was seen talking with co-owner Avram Glazer and Chief Executive Omar Barkrada Pre-Match.

The Ineos Chief looked at the final next to Glazer and the legendary man United -boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

While Club Hierachy was in Bilbao, the Athletic reported that Man United also arranged a screening for staff back in Manchester at Datcast, a warehouse location.

The report claimed that both Ratcliffe and Glazer were booed once they appeared on the screen, once during the game and again afterwards.

The angry is supplied with Ratcliffe who supervises a savage redundancy program at the club.

A total of 200 employees who run the risk of being dismissal were informed earlier this month in meetings.

Eight months ago, Ratcliffe let 250 employees go and the more drastic action will take as part of cost -saving measures at United.

The defeat of Man United by Tottenham in the final has also seen the club a windfall that would have come up with qualifying for the Champions League.

Qualification would have helped the club to generate more than £ 100 million, but the club will be completely without European football instead next season.

The vote on the screening was reportedly described as 'very gloomy' after the defeat of Man United.

It followed Berrada who told the staff earlier this year that the second round of dismissal was based on Man United who qualified for the Europa League for the next four seasons.

Earlier this month, Mail Sport revealed that the players of United were also furious with the Penny-Pinching of the club for the Europa League final when it came to tickets, flights and hotels.

Ruben Amorim reportedly paid for 30 of his back room staff and their families to attend the final from his own pocket after United refused to transfer free tickets.
