Ratcliffe compares Man Utd’s new £2bn 100,000-seater stadium to the EIFFEL TOWER

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has insisted that the new Stadium of Manchester United will look like the famous Eiffel Tower, because the club has finally revealed their plans for the 'New Trafford'.

The Red Devils hope that all the work on their new house will be completed within five years, while the legendary Old Trafford has been their land since 1910.

It is understanding that Man United is planning to demolish their current stadium to make way for a new location with 100,000 seats.

To achieve their plans, the club confirmed that they would need £ 2 billion – mainly funded by the current council – while also looking for government support for the broader infrastructure and regeneration project.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who promised for the presentation that he would deliver 'the largest stadium in the world', was full of hope because the Red Devils finally showed pictures of their new house.

“It's more than a new stadium. Everyone knows the Eiffel Tower, everyone wants to visit, “he said Tuesday.

“Everyone in the world will want to visit this stadium.”

The new location will unquestionably have many visitors after images that have demonstrated plans for a three -storey museum as part of a vast village.

The newly revealed project is the priority of Ratcliffe since he took a 29 percent share at Man United a year ago.

Prior to the presentation, he said: 'Today the start of an incredibly exciting journey marks to the delivery of what will be the largest football stadium in the world, in the center of a regenerated Old Trafford.

'Our current stadium has served us brilliantly for the past 115 years, but it has fallen behind the best arenas in world sport.

'By building in addition to the existing site, we can retain the essence of Old Trafford, while we create a real state-of-the-art stadium that transforms the fan experience, only footsteps from our historic house.

'Just as important is the possibility for a new stadium to be the catalyst for social and economic renewal of the Old Trafford area, jobs and investments, not only during the construction phase, but on a sustainable basis when the Stadiumistrict is completed.

“The government has identified infrastructure investments as a strategic priority, especially in the north of England, and we are proud to support that mission with this project of National, as well as local, meaning.”

During the press conference after the presentation, however, the CEO of the Omar Barkrada club revealed that they have not yet obtained financing, but the board is convinced that the project will attract a lot of interest.

In the meantime, Lord Sebastian Coe added that the project would focus on the pleasure of the fan base and the Manchester community of the Red Devils, including people, neighborhoods and networks.

His comments came only two days after United fans from the 1958 group had a protest against the glazers and Ratcliffe for the collision of the Ruben Amorim side against Arsenal in the Premier League.

The supporters announced their feelings by showing homemade banners and marching to Old Trafford from the Tollgate Pub.
