Ratcliffe would leave MU if criticism ‘reached extent’ of Glazer family abuse

Co-owner Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of Manchester United, admitted that he would run away from Old Trafford as a criticism of him “the extent that the Glazer family was abused”.

The club has passed a scorching season 2024-25, both on and outside the field, despite the announcement of Tuesday of plans to build a new £ 2 billion stadium 100,000 seats.

Erik ten Hag was replaced by Ruben Amorim in the Dugout in November, although the Portuguese were unable to significantly improve the Fortuin of United, who were able to occupy 14th place in the Premier League considerably.

In the meantime, supporters are also dissatisfied with Ratcliffe and Ineos, with some who hold a protest against ownership prior to last weekend's collision with Arsenal.

Various cost -saving measures – including a second round of dismissals, an increase in ticket prices and removing free lunches from the staff – have made widespread criticism.

Although Ratcliffe says he doesn't mind being “unpopular”, the 72-year-old acknowledges that he will only be able to tolerate so much criticism.

“I mean, I can tolerate it for a while,” Ratcliffe told The Sunday Times. “I don't mind being unpopular, because I understand that nobody likes to see Manchester United where they are, and nobody loves the decisions we have to make right now.

“If I draw a little anger, I can tolerate that. But I am no different than the average person. It's not fun, especially for friends and family.

“So, in the end, if it achieved the extent that the Glazer family has been abused, I would have to say:” Look, enough is enough guys, let someone else do this. “

“They can't really come to a competition, the glazers. They have now withdrawn a bit in the shade, so I get all the stick.

“We bought and I've not seen them since. It is:” Thank you, Jim, you're doing really well. “

“At the moment I have no security, I don't have to walk around like that. But it would beat the object, right? You could not tolerate it at that level, it just wouldn't be fun.”
