Ratcliffe’s Ineos sued by the All Blacks for ‘failing to pay sponsorship fee’

The Ineo's of Sir Jim Ratcliffe are sued by the Rugby Team of Nieuw -Zeeland for “not paying sponsor costs.”

It is the newest headache for the owner of Manchester United, who has seen his Red Devils side struggling to click under new boss Ruben Amorim.

The Ineos of Ratcliffe corresponded to a six -year -old deal as a shirt sponsor of All Blacks in 2021, with the move every year £ 3.65 million worth £ 3.65 million.

New Zealand rugby chefs have now accused the petrochemical company of trying to end their sponsorship three years earlier.

They claim that Ineos does not yet have to pay this year's reimbursement.

And legal procedures have now started when the All Blacks are looking for a new sponsor.

A Bombshell declaration was: “New rugby (NZR) is disappointed that Ineos has broken his sponsorship agreement.

“The most recent episode of the 2025 sponsor costs did not pay, which confirmed his decision to leave our six -year agreement.

“After we have heard of the decision of Ineos to walk away three years earlier, we moved to protect the interests of the Rugby of New Zealand and the wider game.

“We have not left an option than to start legal proceedings to protect our commercial position.

“NZR actively strives after new commercial opportunities and worldwide interest in the All Blacks and other teams in Black remains high.

“We are dedicated to be on and off the world class field and to deliver unique value to sponsors through our iconic brands.”

Ineos did not comment on the claims of New Zealand.

According to the Telegraph these are not the first deal that has fallen this year.

Last month they broke up with Ben Ainslie's America's Cup team.

And it comes when Ratcliffe starts with drastic cost -saving measures at Manchester United.

About 250 fired were made because the ticket prices have risen.

And Ratcliffe, who last month raised his minority stake to 28.94 percent, now hopes to build a mega new stadium as part of a regeneration project from Old Trafford.
