Liverpool -midfielder Harvey Elliott trained as usual on Wednesday on Wednesday while RB Leipzig continues to show interest in the England U21 International.
The Bundesliga side is in conversation with Chelsea for Christopher Nunku, but also like Elliott as a replacement for Chelsea Target Xavi Simons.
The German side is supposed to demand at least £ 60 million for Simons, where sports director Marcel Schafer Bild recently tells: 'We know his great ambitions to play in a top competition for a title candidate.
“He wants to prove himself at the highest level. And if it is economically useful, we are open. But only then. If it is not financially for us, we look forward to a different season with this excellent player. '
Elliott has struggled for playing time under Arne Slot and the arrival of Florian Wirtz seems to have hindered his chances of the first team minutes further.
He played for the Reds in their community Shield defeat by Crystal Palace, who came from the bank at Wembley.
The 22-year-old missed his sentence in the shootout and it would be a cruel turn if that were his last act in a Liverpool shirt, the club he has always supported.
Despite his affection for the club, Elliott seemed to indicate his intention before the summer when he admitted that he cannot continue to waste 'years' of his career.
