In the first half, Ferran Torres took advantage of a defensive error from Mallorca to score, but then squandered several chances. Just before half time, Muriqi equalized with a well-timed point. In the second half, Yamal was brought down in the penalty area and the referee awarded a penalty, which Raphinha converted. Then Lamine Yamal delivered a beautiful cross from outside to assist Raphinha's second goal. A few minutes later, Yamal's cross was deflected and Frenkie de Jong scored. Towards the end of the match, Frenkie de Jong assisted Pau Víctor to seal a 5–1 victory.

Match report
Although Barcelona had lost their last three LaLiga matches, they bounced back with a resounding 5-1 win over Mallorca on Tuesday. Hansi Flick showed that he has confidence in the great talent of his team when a modified Barcelona scored five goals against Mallorca. But it wasn't that easy in the beginning. The opener came after an error by the hosts. Goalkeeper Leo Román rushed off his line, but did not communicate with his defensive teammates. A hasty clearance then deflected awkwardly before the ball fell to Ferran Torres, who made no mistake in striking the ball. However, Mallorca managed to level after Barcelona caught the offside trap. Vedat Muriqi beat the system to make the score 1-1. Flick must have had a stern talk at half-time where yet another win seemed to slip away. So the visitors ended up in the second half. Raphinha, wearing the armband, scored an emphatic penalty before finishing a trivela assist from Lamine Yamal for the club's third. The fourth goal almost jeopardized the match when substitute Frenkie de Jong scored with literally his first touch. The Dutchman then set up the fifth when Pau Victor became the second substitute to score with a finish at the back post. Mallorca notably had one of the best defenses in LaLiga before conceding five. Looking at the table, Barcelona now have a four-point lead over second-place Real Madrid (who have one game in hand). Mallorca is now sixth.
