Real approach Liverpool to sign TAA BEFORE season ends to register CWC

Real Madrid approached Liverpool about signing Trent Alexander-Arnold before the end of his contract, so that the right back can play at the Club World Cup, according to reports.

The Liverpool immediately made the news that had been officially reported on Monday, and announced that he would not sign a new contract in his boy's club.

It brought an end to a saga that had stretched with him for a large part of the season, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk van Dijk have all been agreed to have no contract this summer.

The forward and middle behind, however, would both continue to PEN conditions, with Alexander-Arnold now starting a new chapter.

He has long been associated with a move to Real Madrid, who made an approach in January to take him to the Bernabeu, but the Times now reports that the Spanish giants would like to take another step.

The report claims that Los Blancos hopes to have Alexander-Arnold on time in the club for the new, extensive version of the Club World Cup in the summer.

It is thought that the conversations started on Monday evening, only a few hours after the player had made his decision to make the club public and sources are supposed to claim that Real Madrid would be willing to pay any compensation.

His current deal will end on 30 June, with the competition in the United States starting earlier in the month, Real Madrid opposite Al-Hilal in their opener on June 18. In the meantime, Liverpool will play their last match this period on 25 May, the last day of the Premier League.

If the Reds hold, Alexander-Arnold would still be able to appear in the last phases of the competition, provided that the deal will continue before 3 July.

FIFA has set up a special window for registration between 27 June and 3 July with the tournament starting at a period in which countless contracts end or get into place.

Mail Sport understands that the right back will give a deal with Real Madrid who keeps him in the Spanish capital for five years.

The teammate of Alexander-Arnold's England and good friend, Jude Bellingham is the star of the show in Real Madrid, who is assumed to prepare to make Xabi Alonso their new manager after the end of the season.

Alexander-Arnold posted an emotional video that announced his approaching departure on Monday and said: 'Ok. After 20 years at Liverpool Football Club, I leave at the end of the season. I think the decision is for me personally. To change the environment, to challenge myself elsewhere.

'It's not about wanting to find something better, it's about me and my personal journey as a player and I think that now is the right time for me to experience that.

'People will not be happy with the decision, but it is something that I have as if I have to pretend to my journey and my career.

'The times I have had here, the memories, the special moments, are and will be some of the best moments I will have in my life – and memories that live with me forever.

'And I am eternally grateful for everyone who helped me along the way. Being able to sit here now as a two-time Premier League champion for the club that I grew up from, it is a great end to the story for me.

'Of course it is very emotional for me. It is all I have ever known. It is all I have ever wanted to do. Dreamed like a child. It's just very emotional if I am honest because the club, the city, the fans, the people have given me things that I could never have dreamed of in my wildest dreams.

'It is a journey that I have experienced that millions of people will dream of and I was lucky to have experienced it. I will never forget it and I cannot think everyone enough for the support, the conviction, great moments we have had.

'The love I have for this club will never leave. It will never decrease. I will love it forever. I will forever have debts for the club and the fans for everything they have done for me. And there is no doubt about it, I will come back. Every chance I get, I come to watch games. I will support, I want the club to win and the club is successful.

“Nothing changes about that. I will always remain a fan of Liverpool.
