It is no secret that real betis are desperate to sign Antony again from Manchester United, after his successful loan spell last season. And with less than six days to go until the summer transfer window is closed, a resolution now seems to be achieved.
Last weekend it was reported that Betis was preparing their final bid, which was a loan agreement with an option/obligation to buy the Brazil international in 2026. Man United would give a priority to a transfer, but with the player who only wanted to come back to Andalusia, it is speculated that a compromise could be reached.
And it seems that people are about to, with the Telegraaf who reports that Betis and Man United have in principle reached an agreement for Antony to return to Los Verdiblancos for the 2025-26 season. Positive conversations took place on Tuesday between the clubs and this seems to be the result.
It has been reported that Betis has succeeded in securing the services of Antony on another loan, but the deal would include clauses that would probably make it for the 25-year-old to stay permanently in Andalusia from 2026. At this stage it is unclear what the financial data would be, but it would be no surprise if the total package exceeded the record transfer of Los Verdiblancos of € 30 million.
There is no doubt that Antony returns to Betis would be one of the signing sessions of the summer in La Liga, especially if he can continue the form that he showed during the second half of last season.
