Real Betis sporting director confirms Antony transfer plan

Antony has been a revelation for real betis since he came to the La Liga Club in January from Manchester United, and that is why it is no surprise that work is already being done to keep him at least another season.

Antony has gathered four goals and four assists since he arrived at the Benito Villamarin, while his versions outside G/A have also been spectacular. He watched at home in Seville and that is why there is an even greater hope that he can stay longer.

Speaking to the media (via ED) prior to Betis' 1-1 draw in Barcelona on Saturday, sports director Manu Fajardo proudly expressed his pride that he had brought in Antony during the winter transfer window. He also confirmed that there is a great desire to keep the winger in the club after the end of this season.

“It is a source of satisfaction on a personal level (to have brought Antony to Betis), but it is the result of teamwork. Although I am responsible for sports management, many people are involved in this signing. It is still early, but we will try to do everything possible to continue to enjoy Antony in various ways.”

Betis had a wonderful few months that have turned their season, and although they look good to secure the Champions League qualification for the 2025-26 campaign, they also want to win the UEFA Conference League of this season this season, as explained by Fajardo.

“We are one of the few Spanish teams in two games, with regard to a quarterfinals, and for us it means a lot to be in the semi -final of a European competition.”
