Earlier this month, Isco Alarcon returned to action after six months away with a broken leg. He was originally supposed to be back at the start of the season, but with a second operation required after complications developed, the 32-year-old was forced to postpone his comeback, which ultimately happened against Barcelona.
Isco made cameos from the bench against Barcelona and Villarreal, although he was unable to play in Betis' final two fixtures in the UEFA Conference League (against Petrocub and HJK Helsinki) as he was not registered before the window closed in August. However, he will be available in the knockout stages, Diario AS reports.
Betis will start their knockout stages against Gent in the play-off round in February, and Isco will be registered for that match and beyond. He will be one of three changes that could be made to the Conference League squad, taking the place of William Carvalho, who is out for the rest of the season.
