The future of Vitor Roque has dominated the transfer speculation in recent weeks, where Barcelona wanted to say goodbye to the Brazilian attacker, who only arrived in Spanish football last January after an agreement of € 30 million was concluded with Athletico Paranaense.
The expectations were high for Roque, but it is safe to say that he has struggled since he arrived in Spain. Barcelona did not get to him last summer after his first enchantment in the second half of last season, so he was lent to Real Betis, where he did not enjoy a particularly great time.
In recent weeks it has arisen that Palmeiras Roque wants to bring Permanent to Brazil. Barcelona is happy that a deal will continue, while the player himself would also welcome a return to his home country – as such it rested on betis to allow his loan agreement to be broken down.
However, it is bad news for Barcelona and Palmeiras as a Diario, as reported that Betis is not considering leaving Roque in this phase of the season. Despite the fact that he fell into the pecking order behind Cucho Hernandez and Cedric Bakambu, the 19-year-old is still counted by head coach Manuel Pellegrini.
It is worth noting that Betis has not registered a cucho for the UEFA Conference League, which means that Bakambu and Roque are the only pointed options that Pellegrini has for that competition. This is one of the reasons that Los Verdiblancos has to adopt their attitude to the young Brazilian.
Barcelona had hoped to receive a fee in the € 27 million region for Roque, but they might have to wait until the summer is closed for a deal with Palmeiras. At this stage it seems unlikely that betis will admit to their attitude.
