Robbie Lawler says he showed Johny Hendricks what it was all about.
The former UFC champion Welterweight Robbie Lawler demonstrably had the most exciting UFC title that reigned, and yielded 'Fight-of-the-Year's' against a Bloody Rory MacDonald and Carlos in back-to-back defense defense.
It took Lawler 35 fights to win the world title, and finally got revenge on the man who had defeated him for the empty title earlier that year: Johny Hendricks.
Their first meeting was All-Action at UFC 171. Hendricks almost had beaten Georges St-Pierre in the fight, just enough in the striking department to get a unanimous decision gain, three rounds to two.
In an attempt to keep his championship, Hendricks has completely reversed the script in the rematch.

Robbie Lawler hit Johny Hendricks with realization in Rematch
The Takedown attempts by Hendricks went from 2 out of 10 in the first fight to 5 of the 17 on UFC 181, where the welterweights paths in Las Vegas crossed.
Hendricks was very successful with his wrestling and picked up more than 10 minutes of control time. But there was also a lot of the champion in the conflict, something that chuckled a 'ruthless' hunter like Lawler.
“The last time he didn't struggle me, he just got up,” Lawler said about Hendricks on the Jaxxon podcast.
“I think the first fight, I think he realized that he no longer wants to get up,” Lawler continued.
“That's a bit like what I want to do, they put them a bit in a situation where they think, oh s -, this is like real fighting …” “
After five action rounds, Lawler got his hand lifted in a meticulously split decision, his aggressive fighting style prevailed.
Robbie Lawler laughed at the score points 'by Johny Hendricks'
Lawler, a five-time 'Fight of the Night' winner, will enter the UFC Hall-of-Fame this summer and will be inaugurated for performances such as those against Johny Hendricks.
Lawler remembers what he found funny to fight the struggling heavy Hendricks.
“I remember in that fight and in the [Frank] Trigg Fight, you see me outside and I smile and the reason I smile, because they do something different than me, they are Fricking score points, “Lawler said.
“So for me I laugh. I'm so from, you scored points … I try to beat the S – you out of you. It's my way of thinking …
Lawler continued: 'You don't want to be the Frickin' Fight for 15 minutes [guy]… “
The night he won the title against Johny Hendricks, Robbie Lawler told Joe Rogan in his interview after the fight: “I went outside and tried to end … that's how we fight in the UFC, that's how your championship fights!”
