Real Madrid and Barcelona target available for €15-18m this summer

Bayer Leverkusen Left back Alejandro Grimaldo has been one of the most impressive in his position in recent seasons, as evidenced by his breakthrough in the Spanish national team. Now at the height of his powers, he has admitted that he is enthusiastic to go back to Spain.

The 29-year-old responded positively to ties with Real Madrid, and in various interviews in recent weeks the wish has spoken to return to Spanish football at 'A Big Club'. It seems clear that he would be open to a move back to his native country, and MD says that he could be available at a much cheaper price than initially expected.

They mention his value about € 40 million, but notice that Grimaldo has a release clause that is surprisingly low for a player of his quality, and he can leave Leverkusen for somewhere between € 15 million and € 18 million.

Since the end of the season, both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been connected to Grimaldo. The first have him as a sniping price alternative to Benfica's Alvaro Carreras, for whom they negotiate. Atletico also looks at left-backs and are linked to Grimaldo, although they still have to make a strong bet. Los Colchoneros has acted on the possibility of signing Theo Hernandez from AC Milan.

The Catalan daily continues to say that Barcelona has not forgotten the former La Masia talent. Grimaldo is seen as a luxury reinforcement if they can get it, but the left position is not a priority, even if Deco wanted to get another player to compete with Alejandro Bald.

Deco recently noted that Barcelona wanted to make between two and four signs this summer, one of which is considered goalkeeper Joan Garcia. Nevertheless, their next priority is known as the left position.
