Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti will say goodbye at the end of the season, an open secret for many, but are a step closer to doing this after the conditions of his exit. The Italian manager took over from Zinedine Zidane four years ago for a second stint in the club, and won two more Champions competitions and two more La Liga titles on their way to becoming the most successful manager in the history of the club in Termes of Trophies.
According to athletics, a deal is closed between Ancelotti and Real Madrid for the two partial ways after the end of the Liga season, which ends on the 24 or 25 May, depending on the luminaire list, with a home game against Real Sociedad. There is now a verbal agreement for Ancelotti to leave, and the announcement could be made as soon as next week after the Clasico on Sunday.
The Real Madrid manager is expected to become a member of Brazil as soon as his exit is confirmed at Real Madrid. They have been in conversation with Brazil and reportedly agreed on the conditions about his deal with the CBF, but Ancelotti wanted to arrange his future with Los Blancos before he medal. He is expected to be installed against Ecuador and Paraguay at the beginning of June before their South American World Cup qualifications.
It is still not arranged who immediately takes over from Ancelotti. Los Blancos would like to bring in Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen, and the deal is set to continue, but it is not clear whether he will take over for the club World Cup or afterwards, with the tournament from 18 June to mid -July. If he does not, then the director of Football Santiago Solari is the favorite internal candidate who takes over in the meantime until Alonso arrives.
