Real Madrid may be knocking loudly on Trent Alexander-Arnold's door to discuss a contract with the Liverpool right-back, but the opposite is the case with star striker Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian is out of contract in 2027 and has no shortage of approaches from Saudi Arabia.
Despite numerous meetings with Vinicius at various events in recent weeks, Real Madrid directors have yet to make any mention of a contract extension for the Brazilian. The matter has not been discussed, but Marca notes that it is considered a given that negotiations on a new deal will begin in the summer of 2025. His current deal expires in 2027.
Previous reports have detailed that Vinicius was contacted last summer about an extension but respectfully declined to engage in talks, part of what led to rumors that he was listening to Saudi interest. However, it appears that Vinicius gambled on being in a better negotiating position, and he certainly remains one of their top stars, outperforming Kylian Mbappe so far this season.
