Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior discuss figures over contract renewal

After a few months stating that his only intention is to stay in Real Madrid, Los Blancos seems to honor the intention of the wish of Vinicius Junior. Real Madrid sat down with their Brazilian superstar to discuss a new contract with their star ahead.

The contract situation of Vinicius came into the picture last summer, when Saudi Arabia started to make sounds about a possible movement for the 25-year-old, whose camp had a meeting with the Middel Eastern Power. Since then, further conversations have taken place in December and it is assumed that Saudi-Arabian is the side of his signature. The cited figure is a contract of € 1 billion for Vinicius for four or five years. Their potential offer would be somewhere around € 300-400 million for Real Madrid.

Los Blancos has maintained that they are not interested in selling Vinicius. Recent reports claim that they will let him leave, but only if he specifically asks the club. Real Madrid tried to talk to him at the start of the season, after the Saudi interest, but Vinicius put those conversations on ice and felt that he was better off discussing a deal further on.

He has a deal until 2027, which means that Real Madrid does not want him much further than the summer without a new one, otherwise the time pressure will work against them in negotiations. Relo report that a first meeting was held between Vinicius and Real Madrid, where Los Blancos explains the figures they are Willling to discuss.

Both parties set their limits outside of it, and they are considered a way of an agreement. Real Madrid will not go beyond their salary scale for Vinicius, who they want to keep desperate, but Vinicius believes that he earns a wage increase after making the leap as a player since his last deal.
