Real Madrid beat rivals Atletico after VAR CANCELS Julian Alvarez’s penalty in shootout

Real Madrid has cut to a quarter -final tie of the Champions League with Arsenal after beating city rivalen Atletico in a huge controversial penalty shootout.

Former Manchester City Vooruit Julian Alvarez shot his stairs home and Atletico's second to make the shootout 2-2, but he was assessed to have touched the ball twice when VAR examined his shot.

Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde and Antonio Rudiger all really scored, the latter scored his efforts beyond Jan Oblak to give Real the victory.
