Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on 17-year-old Martín, a midfielder who has impressed in his first nine games for Tenerife.
Tenerife star Aarón Martín is catching the eye of LaLiga giants Real Madrid after making a hugely impressive start to his senior career this season.
The 17-year-old midfielder made his first-team debut for Tenerife in September and has amply demonstrated his talent in his first nine games for the Canary Islands. He scored his first goal for the Spanish second-tier club against Real Zaragoza in October, in a league match in which the teenager stood out despite his team's 3-2 defeat.
Real Madrid are eyeing the first Castilla role for Martín
Madrid believe Martín would make an immediate impact for Castilla, the Spanish and European champions' 'B' team, and in the long term has the potential to become a key player for the club's senior side. The youngster is also an interesting club like Sevilla, who would be willing to immediately give him a place in the first team squad at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
How much would Martín cost?
It is thought that Martín, who possesses excellent vision and an agile right foot, would fetch a transfer fee of around €2 million ($2.08 million). He is the latest major talent to emerge in the Canary Islands in recent years, following the emergence of players such as Barcelona's Pedri and Las Palmas' Alberto Moleiro, both of whom graduated from Gran Canaria's youth academy.
Martín's rise through the ranks of Tenerife has been meteoric. Head coach Pepe Mel, who also gave Pedri his debut at Las Palmas, has brought the player into the senior team almost directly from Tenerife's under-19s. He played only a few games for the 'B' team before earning his first-team accolade.
Scouts have been following Martín for some time, but his rapid adjustment to senior football has put major clubs, such as Madrid, on red alert.
