Real Madrid confirm thigh injury for defender as crisis worsens

Real Madrid can't seem to catch a break when it comes to injuries. They currently don't have players like Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao and Eduardo Camavinga available, and they suffered three more blows on Saturday.

Even before the match against Girona started, Real Madrid confirmed that Rodrygo Goes was suffering from muscle pain. In Montilivi, Jude Bellingham suffered a blow (although it is expected that everything will go well for him), while the most worrying problem was suffered by Ferland Mendy, who was also forced off in the second half.

Real Madrid have now confirmed that Mendy has suffered a thigh injury, with his recovery time currently unknown. However, it is almost certain that he will miss the match against Atalanta on Tuesday.

It's another defensive injury for Real Madrid, although Carlo Ancelotti can relax in the sense that he has a ready-made replacement in Fran Garcia (who has been arguably better than Mendy this season). Yet it is another blow.
