Real Madrid will think about their transfer options after Sunday's match against Sevilla, their last match before the winter break. No signatures are expected, but if they did, it would be in central defense.
Carlo Ancelotti has lost two central defenders for the rest of the season in recent months: Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal, who were used there occasionally. David Alaba has also yet to return from the ACL injury he suffered last December, leaving Antonio Rudiger, Aurelien Tchouameni and Raul Asencio.
If Real Madrid decide to sign, Mario Gila is a player they would consider. According to Diario AS, the former La Fabrica star, who now plays for Lazio, is an option as the club have activated their 50% sell-on to sign him at a lower cost.
Gila would be a good option for Real Madrid, especially since he is relatively young. However, it would be a surprise if they opted for a new one during the winter transfer window, barring another injury.
