Real Madrid considering to replace entire position group next summer with two exits

Real Madrid are in the middle of planning for next summer, and while the arrival of Kylian Mbappe was certainly loud last year, recent transfer windows have been marked by relatively few cases. That appears to be changing next year.

Los Blancos are looking to strengthen both wing-back positions, add a centre-back and also look at a midfielder. One of those signings would be Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich, who looks set to join on a free transfer at the end of his contract after a lengthy pursuit.

That would likely leave one of Ferland Mendy or Fran Garcia on the outside, but Cadena SER say they are willing to sell both next summer. Recent reports claim that Miguel Gutierrez has received no indications that Real Madrid are looking to activate the €8m buy-back clause on him, but if they were to attempt to move both left-backs they would move in for the Girona star.

Mendy recently signed a new contract from Real Madrid, but he is heavily backed by manager Carlo Ancelotti. With the Italian's future also in doubt next season, that could also mean the end of his time at the club. With Garcia, he has been inconsistent since returning to the club from Rayo Vallecano, and he still cannot be trusted in big games.
