Real Madrid dealt another injury blow as attacker is ruled out of squad

Real Madrid have been unlucky with injuries so far this season, and unfortunately for them, the problems don't seem to be stopping. Ahead of Saturday's showdown against Girona in Montilivi, Carlo Ancelotti will now be without another key player: Rodrygo Goes.

After being out for three weeks with a hamstring injury suffered in early November, Rodrygo had only just returned against Getafe last weekend. However, Diario AS has now reported that he is experiencing discomfort in his leg, and as a result he will not make the trip to Catalonia. Youth player Dani Yanez has been called up instead.

Ancelotti is already without Vinicius Junior for the match as it was decided he will not be at risk ahead of Tuesday's Champions League match against Atalanta. It means Real Madrid will be significantly depleted in the attacking department at Montilivi, and it remains to be seen how expensive that will be.
