Real Madrid defender addresses future amid Saudi Arabia interest

Saudi Aarabia is very interested in Vinicius Junior, and although that pursuit almost seems to be in the end, another Real Madrid star has attracted an interest of civil servants of the Saudi Pro League: Antonio Rudiger.

The last few seasons, Rudiger has been a Talisman in defense for Real Madrid, in which Centrum-Back Partners Eder Militao (twice) and David Alaba have suffered torn front cruciate ligament. He did not have the biggest start since he had arrived at a free transfer from Chelsea in the summer of 2022, but he kicked considerably.

Now that he is 32, Real Madrid will have to start thinking about life after Rudiger, but for now they are pleased to retain his services. However, their determination could be tested in the summer, with 365 scores (via Sport) reporting that Saudi Arabia regards the German defender as one of their priority signing sessions for the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid is very unlikely that he will sell Rudiger, unless a very large selection comes in, and the player himself also only thinks about continuing in the Santiago Bernabeu, as he revealed to the media this week when he was asked for his future, according to Diario ALS.

“My past in Italy was important to grow as a player. I really enjoyed my time here. Here is the best pasta, the best pizza. There are big clubs here, but I am not planning to leave Real Madrid.”

Rudiger is certainly a vital important player for Real Madrid between now and the end of the season, and he will certainly stay that way until his time ends at the club. Although that could be earlier instead of later, it would be very unlikely.
