Real Madrid end haunting run against Manchester City as season shift beckons

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was happy with his side in their 3-2 victory over Manchester City in the first stage of their play-off from Champions League, while Jude Bellingham took a sixth injury time winner of his career. Los Blancos, however, created a number of chances during the collision, and if there was something, their chances were frivolous.

It was their first victory ever in Etihad, at the age of seventh attempted by the city, fighting a number of times in the last 13 years. However, the game can be a turning point for a number of other reasons. After the game, Ancelotti told the press that 'the season is now starting well' before his side, a sign that he saw a shift in what Real Madrid offered.

The Italian demands the defensive sacrifice of his front four from Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe throughout the season, with generally disappointing results, but seemed to get it on Tuesday. Two of their goals came from winning the ball in the city, and relevant notes that they have managed against City between the first four Bal Repair. In particular, Bellingham stood out with seven.

In the meantime, Marca also notes that it is the first time that Real Madrid has defeated a traditional force this season, although they won a victories over Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta, one of the best sides in Serie A. Buiten Buiten, did defeated Real Madrid suffered For AC Milan, Liverpool, Athletic Club in San Mames, and draw twice with Atletico Madrid and lose twice to Barcelona.

This was the first time that Los Blancos looked convincingly against a side with important resources, and that will give them a trust that goes into the business end of the season. The only warning that can be added is the fact that the city looks a shadow of itself – their mistakes and lack of quality were just as noticeable as the virtues of Real Madrid.
