Real Madrid hopes to save their season by winning the club World Cup, and their chances of doing this seem to have been stimulated in recent days.
The first games of Xabi Alonso will be in the United States during this summer's tournament, at what point it will be to see what tactic he has for Real Madrid. At this stage it is expected that he will replicate the 3-4-3 system that he used Bayer Leverkusen, although he could have a shortage of central defenders for this.
At this stage he only has Aurelien Tchouameni and Raul Asencio. It is expected that Eer Militao will miss, while there are doubts about David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger who can make the journey. But in the case of the latter there is now optimism.
As reported by Diario AS, it is expected that Rudiger will return on time for the second club group phase of Real Madrid, who is against Pachuca against Pachuca on 22 June. The Germany International was operated on his knee at the end of April, but although there were doubts that he was available for the journey of the United States, he is expected to answer them.
Rudiger has had a tough season 2024-25 season so far, after he had played the pain barrier for a long time. It will be interesting to see how much rudder is used during the club World Cup. Real Madrid and Alonso do not want to justify him immediately because of the possibility of a flare -up, which would be a disaster.
