Carlo Ancelotti can continue challenging as Real Madrid for the time being, there is no doubt that he is about to be removed from his position. The exit of the Champions League in the hands of Arsenal, and especially the way it has, has stacked the pressure on him and if he cannot end the season without a trophy, it is almost certain that he will not continue.
It turns out that Ancelotti can jump before being pushed. In recent weeks, the links with the National Team of Brazil have risen again after the Brazilian football federation has fired head coach Dorival Junior in March. The Italian is the favorite candidate to take over and he could choose to go there at the end of the season.
And according to Relevanto, Ancelotti's intention is to leave Real Madrid at the end of the La Liga season to take over as the new head coach of Brazil. It would mean that Los Blancos would require a replacement for the club World Cup 2025, which will take place in the United States this summer.
Xabi Alonso is the clear favorite to take over as a replacement of Ancelotti when he goes, but it is far from certain that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen on time for the club World Cup from June. As such, it may be more likely that Santiago Solari, who is tipped to take the reins in the Santiago Bernabeu on a temporary basis, is in charge of the tournament.
It certainly seems inevitable that the second spell of Ancelotti who is in charge of Real Madrid will end. All parties will hope that they can achieve some success before the clean break occurs, but to do this, they must overcome Barcelona on two points – in La Liga and the Copa del Rey final.
