Real Madrid is planning to make a number of first team signing sessions this summer, but it has now been revealed that one of them can be thwarted by Paris Saint-Germain.
After the arrival of Dean Huijsen of AFC Bournemouth already completed, Real Madrid started looking at other possible signing sessions. There is a conviction that Alvaro Carreras will join Benfica, while there is also a desire to replace a replacement for the departing Luka Modric.
Moreover, a new South -American signing could be made in the form of Franco Mastantuono. Real Madrid has cooled their interest in the 17-year sensation, but it has arisen again in recent weeks. But although the player himself would like to make the move, it is far from certain that Los Blancos could close a deal.
That is because Florian Plettenburg has reported that PSG went into the race to sign Mastantuono when he turns 18 in August. The finalists of the Champions League also had conversations with the representatives of the Argentinian young person, in the footsteps of Real Madrid.
“Paris Saint-Germain has entered the race for Super Talent Franco Mastantuono! He is on the shortlist of PSG and there have already been conversations. Luis Campos is a great admirer of him. The 17-year-old midfielder is under contract on River Plate until 2026.”
There is no doubt that Mastantuono would be an exciting addition to Real Madrid, and if incoming head coach Xabi Alonso would stay with his 3-4-3/3-4-2-1 system that he used at Bayer Leverkusen, he would fit well. But it would be unlikely that he would be an ordinary starter because of the appearance of Jude Bellingham, Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler, who would be in the pecking order.
