Real Madrid fear losing out on 21-year-old striker to Barcelona

Barcelona and Real Madrid have fought battles with many players in the past, most recently for the likes of Endrick Felipe and Arda Guler. They are now ready to face off again for another, albeit with a much lower profile.

As reported by Relevo, Real Madrid have recently shown interest in Eldense striker Alan Godoy, who they are looking to join Raul Gonzalez's Castilla side this month. However, they fear Barcelona could sign him for Barca Atletic instead as the Catalan has now entered the race.

Godoy, who left Alaves to join Eldense last summer, has struggled to make an impact in the Segunda this season after failing to score in 11 games (13 in all competitions). As such, a drop back to the First Federation appears to be on the cards, with Barca Atletic and Real Madrid Castilla the favorites for a loan deal.

It makes sense that Barcelona would be favorites in this situation, as Godoy would likely have a better chance of progressing to the first team if he were to join permanently – he would only have to look at the case of Pau Victor. As such, Real Madrid are probably right to be pessimistic.
