Real Madrid is currently focusing on sale, with four signing sessions that have already been added to the Xabi Alonso team. First team deviations are needed, but there are also La Fabrica stars that are moved, one of them being Alvaro Rodriguez.
Rodriguez made a name for himself during the 2022-23 season when he got the chance from the then head coach Carlo Ancelotti. The 21-year-old registered one goal, which against Atletico Madrid came in a 1-1 draw, and one assist during eight performances for Los Blancos, and that moment in the derby was worshiped by the supporters of the club.
Despite the fact that they are much promising, Rodriguez did not succeed in building that spell. He led on loan last season at Getafe, and on return to Real Madrid he made it clear that he has no future at the club. That is why an exit was inevitable – and it has now come.
On Tuesday, Elche announced that they agreed a deal with Real Madrid to sign Rodriguez for a four -year -old deal.
“Elche Club de Fútbol has reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Álvaro Rodríguez to the Franjiverde entity. The Uruguayan striker will be a new Elche CF player and signs a four-year contract that connects him to the club until June 2029.”
There are no transfer costs specified, so it is possible that Real Madrid allowed one deal without one. However, Marca has revealed that a 50% clause has been retained by Los Blancos, who will keep an eye on how the development of Rodriguez continues.
Rodriguez will hope for success with Elche, which have returned to La Liga after the past season at the Segunda promotion places on the Segunda Promotion. He will feel like making an impact when the new season starts in just over three weeks.
