Real Madrid frustrated with Alphonso Davies agent as they try to seal deal
Real Madrid have remained confident since reportedly agreeing terms with Alphonso Davies in March for the Canadian to join on a free transfer from Bayern Munich next summer. However, like the Bavarians, they grow tired of dealing with his agent.
Davies, 24, is out of contract next summer and Los Blancos have been working on a deal for some time. Insider Christian Falk has told The Daily Briefing that Bayern have started looking at possible replacements, although Davies has an offer on the table from them that he is yet to sign.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos' other competitors are Manchester United, which is still waiting for confirmation of plans with new manager Ruben Amorim, Falk explains. However, they could get a chance to replace Davies – the reason being that things are not going as smoothly as they could due to agent Nedal Househ continuing to talk to other clubs.
Real Madrid have made a point in recent years not to negotiate higher wages than the deal they are willing to offer, and will avoid entering into auctions with other clubs. This was most evident last summer with Leny Yoro, but has also been successful in the past and brought in Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé despite the competition.
