Real Madrid has received a boost with regard to their hope for signing Manchester City star and Ballon d'Or holder Rodri Hernandez, although Xabi Alonso may be impatient in that respect. Rodri has been in Madrid's cross at least the past 18 months.
Their desire to pursue him was perhaps put on hold by his cruciate ligament injury, but many believe that Los Blancos, if they are missing somewhere, is in midfield. That is certainly the feeling of Alonso, if reports of the capital have to be believed, but the Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is not in favor of a large position in the position this summer – unless they are called Rodri.
According to Guillem Balague on the BBC there is no chance that Rodri Manchester City will leave this transfer window. City is not open to a sale and Cadena SER says that after contract discussions with Rodri have been opened, they want to make them from Rodri on the second best paid player after Erling Haaland.
Next summer, however, a happier hunting area can be for Real Madrid. “We'll see,” said Balague regarding that idea, when Rodri, such as things are, will only have a year left on his contract. The Spanish radio outlet notes that Rodri is not in a hurry to renew his deal with the city and has already rejected offers from the city to extend its deal for two years.
If Real Madrid has to offer on Rodri, a condition will be money from transfers. It would probably require an exit for Rodrygo Goes, who is curious enough interest in Manchester City. Los Blancos tends not to be sold out for players they feel they can get cheap, and will be in a better negotiating position next summer.
