Real Madrid granted permission to review VAR footage from controversial Kylian Mbappe incident

Earlier this month, Real Madrid was furious after their controversial 1-0 defeat against Espanyol, and that has set up a series of events in recent weeks. Club officials, including RMTV, were furious about the decision of referee Alejandro Muniz Ruiz and VAR not to send Carlos Romero for a challenge on Kylian Mbappe – and to make things worse for Los Blancos, the defender started scoring the winning goal at it Podium Propomy Stadium.

On the back of this, Real Madrid sent a highly formulated letter to the Spanish football federation and cried the referee collective, which leads to the technical committee of referees (CTA). She also boycott a recent meeting that the federation had founded, in which the vast majority of La Liga clubs called to be punished.

During this process, Real Madrid asked the federation to gain access to the VAR audio of the incident with Mbappe and Romero, and after comfort with the CTA the request was approved. According to Marca, a delegation from the club will go to the offices of the RFEF at the beginning of next week to assess the images.

The Federation wants to build bridges so that a clear dialogue can be established with Real Madrid, and not only in an extreme circumstance, such as when complaints are submitted about various things, such as those with this recent incident. As soon as the delegation has assessed the audio files, the hope of civil servants is that good relationships can bloom again.

There is no doubt that this has been a very controversial incident in Spanish football. Real Madrid has not stopped their anger and in response there has been a lot of disapproval of some of the other clubs in Spanish football, and this threatens to broaden a gap of bad institutional relationships.
