'See it to believe it' is the Spanish idiom, and that is indeed the case with the field in the Santiago Bernabeu. The much -needed renovated Bernabeu has been taken into account, from parking to sound insulation to the field.
The latter has been questioned for some time and the state of the field was not one of the best in Spain for several seasons. This season was not noticed because of the series of the ball or the plague of injuries that Real Madrid suffered, although they have suffered again, but because of the spots that have appeared on the shirts of players.
This season it is a regular happening that the white Real Madrid kit would be striped with a dark green at the slightest fall at the turf. Rumor has it that Los Blancos painted the field to hide the poor state of the grass – that is halfway through the truth.
The Bernabeu is designed in such a way that the pitch can be withdrawn by six hydraulic panels, and the grass cared for in perfect humidity and light conditions. Marca says that this went well and that the grass is in the best where it has been in for a while.
They explain further that Los Blancos has painted the field. The reason is that the lines where the panels are separated are visible, and to offer a cleaner or more preferred image on television, Real Madrid scored the areas where those lines are visible. Before every match in the Bernabeu this season, Real Madrid has applied a paint that lasts about four to five hours on the field.
