Real Madrid concluded deals for their second and third signing sessions of the summer, after a deal for Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen was secured earlier this month. The two new deals take their expenses for the € 100 million for June.
The second signing will be Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold, a movement that was well documented, with the 26-year-old agreed conditions with Los Blancos some time ago. Cadena Cope says that a deal has been closed with Liverpool, which means he can join the World Cup Club, which means that his relocation will probably be announced next week. Previous reports have set the value of the deal with Liverpool around € 5 million.
The third deal that Los Blancos has received over the line is for Benfica left back Alvaro Carreras. The 22-year-old, like Alexander-Arnold, will sign a five-year-old deal with Real Madrid and returns to the club where he spent time as a youth player. The negotiations between clubs started this week after Benfica's season had ended, with personal conditions already agreed between Carreras and Real Madrid.
Los Blancos is ready to stumble the € 50 million release clause for Carreras, the value of his release clause, although it is thought that they may have agreed to pay Benfica in episodes instead of in one go. Real Madrid originally opened negotiations of around € 40 million.
Both are expected to be present for the club World Cup under Xabi Alonso, which offers defensive reinforcements for a side that struggled at the back the entire season. Now Real Madrid will focus their attention on bringing in a midfielder, after without signing sessions in that department since the arrival of Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler, who have played further ahead. The departure of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos does mean that Dani Ceballos lingers.
