Real Madrid started a new era this summer with the arrival of Xabi Alonso, and so far things are going relatively well. The semi -final of the club World Cup was a respectable version, and in La Liga two victories of two were achieved by Los Blancos.
There have been some teething problems, but there are promising signs for Real Madrid. There is a conviction that great things can be achieved with Alonso, although club icon Toni Kroos has encouraged everyone not to walk for themselves.
Speaking of the last episode of his podcast 'Einfach Mal Luppen' (via Diario AS), Kroos told – who could finally replace Real Madrid this summer – to Alonso, with whom he could coincide with Los Blancos for a few weeks in the summer of 2014, that his playing days will count for little in Terms of Leew. However, he also called for patience with the 43-year-old.
“I think Xabi has a different status than Lopetegui. His record as a player helps, but it does not protect him if he does not win titles three years in a row.
“Trust the coach cases. It is not always the result, because trust enables you to overcome temporary poor results. Sometimes coaches are dismissed after four games. But believe in your power can give you leeway. The perception of the players and team leaders is also important. You usually hear what the coach is. Position, whether they are players or coaches.”
After winning zero big trophies in 2024-25, there is certainly busy Alonso to ensure that Real Madrid bounces back during the current campaign. If he replicates the last season of Carlo Ancelotti, it would be complicated for him to keep the lead at the Santiago Bernabeu.
