The word in the Spanish capital is that Real Madrid still needs a midfielder, at least that seems to be the image of Xabi Alonso. However, there has been little movement in that respect for some time, and it seems that Los Blancos will delay the case and ask Alonso to work with what he has at his disposal.
Reportedly, Alonso is for Real Madrid who signed a keyer in midfield, but with President Florentino Perez reluctant to break the bank this summer for one of the options placed for him. Their policy is not to sign instead of being cornered in the wrong move. The only exception in the spirit of Perez is Rodri Hernandez of Manchester City, but it is not yet clear whether they can get him out of the city, or whether they are willing to express a serious injury to him.
According to Marca, Real Madrid has taken note of Vitinha as a potential option for next summer. The midfielder of Paris Saint-Germain is previously linked to Los Blancos and attracts strong admiration of the Santiago Bernabeu. Last season, however, every movement was described as impossible.
But now they have become aware of a clause in his PSG contract, or at least an agreement. In theory, Ligue 1 does not allow release clauses, but their information is that Vitinha PSG can leave for an amount that decreases year after year – next summer, after the World Cup, that amount will be € 90 million.
After being nominated by France Football for the Ballon d'Or on Thursday, Vitinha is one of the favorites to win the prize. Next summer he will only be 26 years old, and in the current market Real Madrid will undoubtedly see value in the Director Operations in the midfield of Luis Enrique at € 90 million, after they have led to the Champions League this season.
