Real Madrid in two-way fight for Alphonso Davies signature as Barcelona end interest

Alphonso Davies' future is expected to be decided in the coming weeks. His current contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of the season, and in a few days he can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club.

As a result, there is a lot of interest in Davies. Real Madrid have been long-time admirers, while Barcelona and Manchester United became keen a few months ago, although Marca has now reported that they have both walked away after being rejected by the Canadian defender.

As such, it is now a two-way battle for Davies' signature between Real Madrid and Bayern. The latter have submitted a contract offer and although there is confidence that this will be accepted, no decision has yet been taken.

Davies is a much-needed addition to Real Madrid given their problems at left-back this season. If they can make a deal, it would be a great thing.
