Real Madrid has made it part of their policy to recruit the best young talents in world football, and although in recent years that is more often aimed at rising Brazilian talent, proof of Jude Bellingham is proof that they are looking for Europe's best asterisks too. According to Relo, Real Madrid has shown interest in Borussia Dortmund -wing player Jamie Gittens. The 20-year-old Englishman enjoys a good season in the Signal Iduna Park. Los Blancos would have seen him up close earlier this season, when they defeated the Schwarzgelben 5-2 in the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League.
Gittens are able to operate from both flanks, this season is a fixed value for Dortmund and has 11 goals to his name and four assists in his 34 performances so far. In addition to his production for the goal, however, it is his ability to go beyond players and defenses of the imbalance that has attracted the eye of Real Madrid.
Gittens is on average more dribbles than any other player in the Bundesliga (4.3 per 90 minutes), with a success rate of more than 50%. They also emphasize that he is one of the fastest players at the highest level.
Arriving from Manchester City in 2020, Gittens is the newest English talent to take their first steps in Germany. Real Madrid, however, will probably be confronted with competition for his signature. Dortmund can look at him as their next big sale after Bellingham, with Arsenal and Chelsea interested in Gittens. Los Blancos has no plans to move for him, but if they become available as a market chance, they would consider it.
Currently with Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler who struggles for minutes behind their starting front three, it seems unlikely that Gittens would be for a lot of playing time. However, it was talked about that Vinicius Junior could leave the club to Saudi Arabia in the summer, and Gittens would offer another profile to Brahim or Guler.
