Real Madrid no longer consider signing a centre-back a priority, but it is still something they want to do in the coming years as David Alaba (32) and Antonio Rudiger are both in their 30s. A younger signing is needed to partner Eder Militao, and one player who fits the club's ideal profile is Dean Huijsen.
Huijsen, a Spanish youth international, joined AFC Bournemouth this summer and made a big impression under former Rayo Vallecano head coach Andoni Iraola. As such, Real Madrid have shown interest in him, according to Diario AS (via Sport).
The profile that Huijsen has would make a lot of sense for Real Madrid to bring in as he is a young, ball-playing centre-back. It will be interesting to see if a move is made in 2025, although it wouldn't be a surprise if this were pushed back another twelve months.
