Not a single side in Spain has been just as vocal as Real Madrid about demanding change in the official system in La Liga, but no way will not play such a small role in making decisions about how to do this. The clubs in La Liga and Segunda will form committees to lobby for change and have a voice in discussions, but Real Madrid will not be part of it.
Los Blancos decided two weeks ago no meeting between La Liga, the Royal Spanish football federation (RFEF), the referees Committe (CTA) and the clubs to attend two divisions in the top, where Rafael Louzan 'structural changes' promised it Office in Spain. It seems that those changes are starting to take shape.
As reported by Relo, two committees are formed between the clubs of La Liga and Segunda, one for referee reform, and another will represent the clubs on the 'Competition Commission', giving them a voice in decisions made by La Liga and the RFEF. Two clubs of each division will represent the others, but Los Blancos have been omitted and have put their name in the hat to do this. All Primera clubs voted over the League representatives and the same happened for Segunda.
Sevilla and Real Betis clearly won the mood to be on the referee committee, with twelve and nine votes each. Rayo Vallecano was the next with five, while both Real Madrid and Girona received four votes. Athletic Club (3), Valencia (2), Barcelona (1) and Villarreal (1) also received votes, while Albacete and Granada were chosen as representatives of Segunda.
Real Madrid was also a candidate to be on the competition committee, but Atletico Madrid and Villarreal won the voices in Primera, while Racing Ferrol and Malaga were chosen from Segunda.
The clubs in the referee Reform Commission do not have the authority to make decisions and in particular to replace civil servants. But they will have a voice in the room with the CTA and RFEF.
