Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos remains a popular figure at the club, having served as ambassador for many years and still lives in the Spanish capital. Those working at the club may see more of Brazil's iconic left-back than they expected.
Carlos, 51, recently split from his wife Mariana Luccon, with whom he has two children – in total the former Inter defender has 11 children from seven different mothers. However, his relationship with Luccon was his most stable, after fifteen years together, and Fiesta (via ED) explains that a difficult divorce process is underway to separate his €160 million estate.
Despite his ample assets, Carlos is currently not staying in a hotel, but is sleeping at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training ground, according to the same source. He moved there temporarily, while his parents-in-law currently live in one of his properties in Madrid, and Luccon still lives in their house.
This isn't to say that Carlos is doing it on a physio bench, where more than one hangover has reportedly been nursed, but he is probably in one of the rooms on the training ground. Los Blancos have five-star rooms in their facilities to accommodate the players if they come home late from an outing, so they can prioritize their sleep. This summer, Kylian Mbappe moved into Toni Kroos' old room.
