Real Madrid make transfer stance clear amid Eder Militao injury concerns

Real Madrid have had a lot of bad luck with injuries over the past 18 months, especially in central defense, where they have suffered four torn anterior cruciate ligaments (Eder Militao x2, David Alaba and Joan Martinez). Currently, all three are out, leaving Carlo Ancelotti with only Antonio Rudiger, Aurelien Tchouameni and Raul Asencio.

Despite this, Marca says that Real Madrid are not currently considering signing a new centre-back. One of the reasons for this is Militao, who they firmly believe will be back to his best when he returns from injury.

Militao tore his cruciate ligament for the second time in 15 months during Real Madrid's victory over Osasuna in November. He faces the situation with full confidence that he can overcome this crushing blow, and he is supported to the utmost by club officials. As such, it is considered that replacement is not necessary.
